Yield is the first puzzle in Orpheus Ascending, part of the Road to Elysium expansion for The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

As you enter the puzzle, you see an inverter in front of you, followed by a purple barrier. On the other side is a red emitter with its laser already active and connected to two red receivers, one to the right which seemingly serves no purpose, and another on the far end that is connected to the blue door next to a blue receiver. Beyond the blue door lies the Sarabhai Fragment.

Since the name of the puzzle is yield, think about multiple roads merging into one, and the effect that has on traffic

How to think about the problem:

Trying to connect the inverter to the blue receiver is hard because of the intersecting red laser. Do not think about jumping or finding elevation, the solution is far more elegant.

A rather blunt hint:

You only have one tool, and you need to interrupt the laser before it reaches the main blue laser you are trying to connect. How can you interrupt it by using a single tool?
