Inversion is the first main puzzle in the Eastern Wetlands area of The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

When you enter the main puzzle area, you see two emitters, one red and one blue. There is an inverter available. There is a room blocked by a blue door controlled by a red receiver which has another inverter in it. Another blue door to the left leads to another room controlled by a blue receiver. Inside that another room, we can see the progress wheel blocked by a blue door controlled by a red receiver.

Hints

A basic hint:

An inverter takes blue laser and converts it into red laser. Use this property.

If you don't have a source of light for the inner room:

An inverter can get its source of energy from another inverter.

Solution

• 
  Take the Inverter and connect the blue Emitter to the red Receiver.
• 
  Take the second Inverter out of its cell.
• 
  Take the first Inverter and connect the red Emitter to the blue Receiver.
• 
  Take the second Inverter and connect the blue Inverter to the red Receiver by the Progress Wheel.
