Surfing is the fourth main puzzle in the Western Delta area of The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

When you enter the puzzle, there is a big room where you find a mover and a connector. The mover is on a path with a pressure plate and a fan without the blades. To the right is a red emitter. In front of you are three rooms. The first room on the left is blocked off with a blue door which is connected to a blue receiver. In that room, is a hexahedron. The second room in the middle is blocked off by a grate, and has a blue emitter. The third room, the one on the right, is blocked off by another blue wall connected to a blue receiver. Inside the room is another connector and a detached fan blade. Behind a half-wall is another blue receiver, which controls access to the progress wheel.

Since the name of the puzzle is Surfing, you will have to keep some equipment on a moving surfboard. Like a surfboard, you may have to "ride the waves".

If you're having trouble getting started:

Take your time positioning the the mover at the right place so that you can unlock whichever door you're targeting at this time.

If your laser to the right door is getting blocked:

The mover does not have the correct angle for this. Use something else.

If your laser is getting blocked at the end:

At the end of your puzzle, you cannot use just a single connector to connect all the receivers.

Solution

• 
  Step 1: Activate the mover so that it is somewhere in the middle of the blue emitter and the receiver on the left.
• 
  Step 2: Open the blue door by keeping the connector on top of the mover. Grab the hexahedron from the room and bring it out.
• 
  Step 3: Activate the mover again until it pushes down on the pressure plate.
• 
  Step 4: Open the right blue door using the hexahedron to lift the connector. Bring out the connector and the fan blade.
• 
  Step 5: Place the fan blade on the fan receptacle
• 
  Step 6: Prep one connector by connecting it to the blue emitter and the blue receiver closest to the progress wheel, which is visible from far away.
• 
  Step 7: Place the connector on the mover.
• 
  Step 8: Activate the mover till it reaches the fan and gets pushed up high
• 
  Step 9: Use the connector you have with you to open the blue door on the right to get access to the right room.
