Alternative Option is the fourth main puzzle in the Grasslands Ring area of The Talos Principle 2.
Puzzle elements
Overview
As you enter the puzzle, you see an RGB converter, a hexahedron, a switch that controls the state of a fan, and a green receiver to the left that gives access to the progress wheel. Blocked off from access, but visible through some glass windows are a red and blue emitters.

Notice that you are unable to connect the emitters to the RGB converter from this side of the window. Is there some location that will help you make the connection?
If you're having trouble keeping the equipment stable:

Remember you can use the alternate use button to pick up an RGB converter without disconnecting its current connections. Also, hexahedrons provide stable platforms for equipment.
Solution

Turn on the Fan by flipping the Switch. -
Take the RGB Converter and walk on the Fan. While airborne, connect the blue and red Emitters as well as the green Receiver. Drop back down and place the Converter down anywhere. -
Turn off the Fan. -
Place the Hexahedron. Pick up the RGB Converter with the "Alternative Use" key to keep the connections. Place it down on the Hexahedron/ -
Turn the Fan back on.
