Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a large open room, with a connector on the ground. On the left, there is an elevated balcony. On the elevated balcony:

  • On the near corner, there is an angled gravity surface.
  • On the far corner, there is a small room blocked off by a blue door. There is a pressure plate in front of the blue door. There is a low grate wall on the side.
  • Inside that small room, there are two angled doors, shaped like cupboard doors, that are open just a little bit, and a red emitter is visible through the crack.
  • There is a ladder near the middle allowing easy travel to and from the ground floor.

On the right side of the room is another elevated balcony. On this balcony is a gravshifter, and the far ends of the balcony are walled off with grates. There is a ladder that leads up to this balcony. There is also an angled fan with detachable blades next to a pressure plate that is pointed up at this balcony.

Further along, on the rear right corner is a room blocked off by a red receiver, inside which is a hexahedron.

At the end of the room is a blue door, next to a red receiver, behind which is the progress wheel.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Stowaway, you have to stow some equipment at some point. (Try to think of the action you take when you stow your bags in the overhead compartment during a flight).

If you're having trouble getting started:

[ hint ]
Remember that the gravshifter can be used on pressure plates.

If you're still having trouble making progress:

[ hint ]
Experiment with the angles that the connector allows. Try placing it close to, far from, and at an angle from the emitter. Some of it will work. You may have to stand on the pressure plate yourself.

If you're having trouble near the end:

[ hint ]
There are two ways to solve this puzzle's ending. The first method, which is the likely intended method, is to use the detached fan blades as a crucial item. The second method, which is a bit cheesy, is to crowd a lot of equipment close to the emitter so that the game has no option but to let you place them at a slight angle, allowing the laser to pass through.

A list of major objectives:

[ hint ]
Move the connector to the left balcony. Get the hexahedron. Put something on the pressure plate that allows you to move the connector much further back.
