Notes

  • The encrypted text ("through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm" when assembled) originates from science fiction writer Isaac Asimov's "Three Law of Robotics". Specifically, it comes from the later added "Zeroth" law, which states:

    A robot may not harm humanity, or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.

  • This is one of two documents in The Talos Principle which involve or reference Trevor Donovan, the other being capacity.eml, before his larger role in the second game. It's likely the first reference to his existence in the series which players will encounter.
