Displacement is the sixth main puzzle in the Circular Oasis area of The Talos Principle 2.
Puzzle elements
Like Dismantling and Bridging the Gap, this puzzle does not feature a rotating platform; but it does feature moving walls.
Overview
When you enter this puzzle, you find yourself in an L-shaped room.
- An inverter is available to your left.
- In the front left corner is a room with the progress wheel in it that is blocked off by a blue door controlled by a blue receiver.
- In front of you appear to be some tracks. In front of those tracks is a pressure plate, and a blue receiver on the wall on the side.
- The tracks end at a wall with some metal work, and a metal grate, through which a red emitter is visible.
- There is a ladder that leads to the area behind. In that area, there is another blue receiver, and a blue door that blocks access to an accumulator. There is another ladder that leads back out.

Since the name of the puzzle is Displacement, the main mechanic of the puzzle involves the moving walls. You have to figure out how to use them to your advantage.
If you're struggling to get started:

Try to figure out how to keep the moving walls placed in the front position without you having to stand continuously on the pressure plate.

Place your equipment is such a way that it is easy to grab.
If your equipment is getting blocked by other equipment:

Notice that the walls move, but the floor doesn't move. So you have to arrange the equipment in such a way that it doesn't block the laser when pushed by the walls.
