Puzzle elements

Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a small room, in a layout quite similar to Puzzle 3.

  • There is a grill wall to the left, a part of which protrudes, and there is a blue receiver next to a blue door that guards access to the progress wheel.
  • On the right, there is a fan next to a switch. A connector is available nearby.
  • Further in, on the back right corner, there is a blue emitter.
  • As the room wraps around a wall on the back, there is a corridor with a blue receiver. This leads to a blue door that unlocks a small room in the back with a hexahedron in it. There is also a window that looks out the main area.
  • Near the fan, there is a ledge at a significant height. On that ledge is a platform.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Mobile Instruments, at some points you will have to make it so that the instruments can be moved around while still being active.

Reminder about platforms:

[ hint ]
It is worth remembering the properties of a platform. Usually the player cannot hold any equipment above their head, it falls off. But with the help of a platform, equipment can be held stable.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
Grab the hexahedron and climb on it. There is a well hidden platform up on the ledge. You will need that.

If you're not sure what to do next:

[ hint ]
Recall how you solved Puzzle 3. In there, an active connector was pushed past the blue door by a fan. Now there is no fan in this puzzle, but can you set up the equipment in such a way that the same effect can be achieved?

If you are not sure how to use the platform:

[ hint ]
Usually, platforms come with clones, which makes it easy to place items on them. However, there are no clones in this puzzle. How will you achieve elevation for equipment in the absence of clones?
