It's incredible, there's an entire submerged town just off the coast, surprisingly well-preserved. Sailing over it, I finally understood what the ancients meant by "eerie." I obviously couldn't have the kind of physiological response they did, but I think the mental response was pretty close! A contradictory response: part melancholy, part fascination... it's strange how tragedy and destruction make the beauty of civilization more obvious.
