Placement
Identifier: East 2-4
Area: Wooded Plateau
Puzzle Type: Main
Previous Puzzle: Backup
Next Puzzle: Duet

Placement is the fourth main puzzle in the Wooded Plateau area of The Talos Principle 2.

Puzzle Elements

Overview

As you enter the puzzle, you see the main area has a fan and a driller readily available. The fan is controlled by a switch. At the middle of the far side of the room is an area blocked off by a blue door. Inside is a blue emitter, a hexahedron, and a pressure plate. The left wall of this little room is made of copper. On the right side is a small entirely enclosed room with a connector in it, one of whose walls is made of copper. On the left side is a tower, at the bottom of which is the progress wheel blocked off by a blue door, and the top of which has a copper wall with a blue receiver behind it.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of this puzzle is Placement, you will have to place the connector at such a position that it has unobstructed view of the things it wants to connect.

If you find that the connector is sliding away:

[ hint ]
Keep the connector on top of a hexahedron. This does mean you have to retrieve the hexahedron from inside the small room.

If you're having trouble keeping the blue wall open:

[ hint ]
Consider if it is even important to keep it open, or if the angles will make not not necessary.
