Puzzle elements

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a small room.

  • There is a blue emitter on the entrance wall. Ahead of you is a blue door, with a blue receiver right next to it. On the left of the door is a window that looks into the second room. A connector is available. There is another window that looks into the progress wheel room, and through that room, a red receiver is visible.
  • The second room has another connector available. There is a red emitter next to a blue door that leads to the progress wheel room.

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Duality, you will have to think of a way to have something serve two different purposes at different times.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
Start by opening the door to the second room, and place your connector roughly in the middle of the room so that you have a lot of options to experiment with.

If lasers of different colors are crossing:

[ hint ]
Don't try to sneak the lasers past each other, that won't work.

If you opened the door to the progress wheel room but the door to the second room closed:

[ hint ]
This is the main problem of the puzzle that you have to solve. How can you choose which door to open from the second room instead of the first room?

An explicit instruction on how to set up one of the connectors:

[ hint ]
Set up the first connector to open the door, but not directly from the emitter.

A list of major objectives:

[ hint ]
Set up the connector in the second room. Set up the connector in the first room to be versatile. Come back to the second room and switch colors.
