Puzzle elements

Overview

As you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in the first room of a 5 room puzzle.

  • Room 1: The outer room, has a purple barrier that leads to Room 2 on the right, and a pressure plate that controls the blue door to the left to Room 3. An accumulator is available here.
  • Room 2: A corridor with a green emitter at the end. You can enter it via the purple barrier from Room 1, and there is a drillable wall as well.
  • Room 3: An irregular shaped room, covered from above, with a blue emitter in it. There is a blue receiver that controls the blue door to Room 4. There is a blue door to Room 5 as well, but that is controlled by a pressure plate on the other side.
  • Room 4: A small room with an RGB converter in it. In addition to the blue door from Room 3, there are two small purple barriers that lead to Room 5.
  • Room 5: A large open space in the rear. There is a driller and a connector here, and a pressure plate to open the blue door to Room 3. There are two receivers: a red and a blue one, that control access to the progress wheel.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Reconnaissance, at some point, you will have to send some equipment to do a little excursion into a room to gather something and then bring it back.

If you're having trouble getting started:

[ hint ]
It is not possible to charge the accumulator while it is sitting on the pressure plate. However, it doesn't have to, charge it once, then place it on the plate while being connected to the receiver.

If you're stuck after getting access to all the rooms:

[ hint ]
Notice that there is only one drillable wall. So the driller will have the most impact in the room with the drillable wall in it.

If you're wondering what the driller is for:

[ hint ]
Notice that there is a green emitter in room 2, and we have a red receiver in room 5. You can drill the wall, but taking the laser directly to the receiver is very difficult due to the shape of the puzzle. Is there another solution?

A list of major objectives:

[ hint ]
Move the RGB converter to the innermost room, Room 5. Bring the driller out. Change the color of the accumulator. Move the accumulator to Room 5.
