Keys, also called key rings, are elements from The Talos Principle that unlock certain gates. By passing through a large floating set of keys, the player takes possession of the keys until they have been used on one or more associated metal gates.

Passing through a purple barrier will cause the keys to reset back to their original location (unlike most carried objects, which fall in place next to the barrier).
