Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself at the base of a staircase. At the top of the staircase is a purple barrier, which leads to a small hallway. At the end of the hallway, we reach the right area, where there are two pressure plates that control access to the progress wheel. There is also a connector. Looking left from the right area, we can see a red emitter on the entrance wall, but it is some distance away, and you are a floor up. Across the empty space is a moving floor, with a small vertical attached wall with a red reciever on it. This moving floor mechanism is currently docked to the left area, which contains a red receiver that blocks access to a small area with another connector in it.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Bridging the Gap, the main point of the puzzle is how you would go from this side of the gap to the other side, and then back.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
Experiment with angles and find at what locations you can place the connector to activate the receiver on the moving floor.

The rules of the moving floor:

[ hint ]
The moving floor is normally docked to the left area. When the receiver is activated, it begins moving to the right area. If the receiver stops receiving power, it starts moving back towards the left area.

If you're struggling to return:

[ hint ]
Use both connectors. Both of them need to help each other out.
