Rotating platforms are small square chambers over a circular platform that can be rotated. There are two main varieties:

two cornering walls, with a combination of bars and windows, and two switches on the inner side of the walls to rotate the platform clockwise or counterclockwise; they can also have blue doors that close when the platform rotates, or regular ones that need to be opened by other means
two crossing walls with receivers used to rotate them 90 degrees; when the receiver stops being active they return to their original position
